Join us for a blogging class Saturday

It's beautiful in the Seattle area this time of year, especially when the sun is shining.

I'm teaching a class at South Puget Sound Community College In Olympia, Wash., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday April 16.

Blogging is fun. If you live in the area, come and join us.

Food, fashions, public relations, personal challenges, the paranormal, knitting, boating, travel, books, aging, and the public interest are some of the topics my students have chosen for blog topics.

My blogs are The Survive and Thrive Boomer Guide and the Boomer Consumer, a reader blog on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer website.

I began blogging in 2008. Since then I've written more than 4,600 articles and have more than 1 million page views.

Blogging is interesting and rewarding. It's like having your own newspaper.

My background includes 10 years as a journalist and nearly 20 years as a writer and editor for state government.
